Bishop James Wright became a part of the Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Center Family in 1975 at the age of 17.  He graduated from the Miracle Deliverance Center Bible Institute, a satellite of the Jacksonville Theological Seminary, as Valedictorian in 1988.  He has been an instructor in the Bible institute since 1989.

Bishop Wright has been employed at International Paper for 41years.  He has been happily married to Minister Myra B. Wright for 32 years and they have 3 gifted children and a grandson. Minister Myra is a wonderful wife, mother, and woman of God.

Bishop Wright was ordained Pastor in 1992, and for 18 years he served as the Pastor of the Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Church in Guyton, Georgia until his appointment in 2009 as Pastor of the Savannah church.  In November 2001, he was called by God and consecrated to the office of Bishop by Chief Apostle, Dr. Idell Cheever.  He preaches an teaches with great power and anointing.
